<p>ARPA is a computation network with the goal of providing privacy-preserving tools and services. The two layers work together to provide the network’s functions. The protocol layer is in charge of tasks of supportive nature. This includes node selection and playing the role of a bridge between the MPC (Multiparty Computation) nodes and smart contracts on the blockchain. As the name suggests, the computation layer conducts ARPA’s Multiparty Computation.</p><p>Nodes are incentivized to behave well in return for economic rewards.
